Heading to Washington

Time in New York passed by to quick, today we had to take the train to Washington DC first it was a bit hard to get Bernd out of the bed. Well at least we were looking for seeing Washington.

Time to get up Buddy

During the train trip Bernd was all the time looking out of the window, enjoying the landscape and the towns we could see, sometimes only some train stations. He aldready started starring out of the window at Penn station, after the train started his nose seemed to be glued on the window.
Train ride was so far fine, good thing was a free wifi with internet during the whole trip, Bernd wasn't talking with me all the time.

To bad, no better view on Philadelphia from the train

In Washington Bernd told me before leaving the train station that he will try his luck in this city. Don't know from where he got this thoughts about Washington. It's not known for gambling.
And he got lucky, just a view seconds after leaving the train station he found something on the floor.
After him finishing his celebration we walked around in Washington taking a view on buildings and some interesting places. Walked around the capitol, all the way down to the Washington monument. Cause of some repairs the monument did not give a great view. Next we headed to the White house, for me it felt so much different beeing there without all the christmas trees. But still great. And not so cold.

At the White house we decided to send our best wishes to one of our best friends, hoping that she would love it. To some Americans I told a bit about Bernds filming stuff, his English is not so good so I got to do all the talking, they were starting to love him, he was so excited.
First name should make it here, well first picture with me

On our way to the Lincoln Monument Bernd saw some people feeding squirrels so he also wanted to feed some. I thought it might be very dangerous for him, because many people feed them with bred so he might get bitten. I was ready rescuing him, yes I know I could have stopped him but that would not have been good for his confidence. Good for me the squirrel was as frightened of Bernd as he was and quickly fled from him.
Bernd was totaly exhausted when we arrived at Lincoln monument. So he took a break at the stairs. And something unexpected happened there, after a view minutes waiting there some tourists were passing by and were realizing that Bernd the bred was sitting on the stairs (no kidding). I didn't believe it that we will find someone here knowing Bernd, seems he is more popular than we thought. After giving some autographs we got up the stars and sayed hello to Mr Lincoln.

Despite the break Bernd was not in the condition of walking anymore, so I got to carry him the rest of the way, good that Bernd is not so heavy. We passed by at FDR (Franklin Delano Roosevelt) monument and walked a long the Potomac.
At the end we visited Thomas Jefferson and at a chinese restaurant Bernd got a fortune cookie.

The limit to your abilities is where you place it.
